Your union’s threat of strike action and collective strength has forced the government to formally commit to maintaining the Emergency Physicians (EP) Allowance! This victory proves what we can achieve together. Management tried to take it away, but we fought back - and WON.
Now, we must push to lock this win into the Award - not just policy. Until it’s secured in the Award, the government can walk away from this commitment at any time.
Meanwhile, the rest of the proposed Staff Specialists Award remains completely unacceptable and appalling. The Minns Government has left us no choice: we must prepare for strike action.
